How do I care for my painting?
- Please keep your artwork out of direct sunlight. If exposed to extreme heat or sunlight ever over long periods of time, the paint might fade.
- Frame under non-glare glass, treated with a coating to protect the artwork from UV sunlight. Non-glare glass makes it easier to see all texture and details in the artwork.
- Both the mat and backing of your frame should be made of acid-free paper and finished with acid-free tape. This is to avoid any moisture from reaching your painting and damaging it.
How do I care for my ornament?
- Keep your ornament in a climate controlled room and out of direct sunlight.
- If exposed to extreme temperature change or sunlight over long periods of time, the wood might crack.
- Store ornament individually in provided bubble wrap & packaging or use a padded mailing envelope. Or, keep your ornament out, and enjoy year round!
Who actually owns the painting?
- I retain all rights to all artwork I create. This includes the rights to the image of sold & commissioned original paintings. I retain the right to make REPRODUCTIONS OF ANY AND ALL ARTWORK I CREATE UNLESS THE COLLECTOR HAS PURCHASED THE FULL OR PARTIAL RIGHTS TO THE ARTWORK (this is in addition to purchasing the original).
- The Collector or buyer may not reproduce the artwork in any way without written permission.
- If the artwork ends up being reproduced in a magazine or other media I only ask for credit.
- When you purchase an original painting you, the collector, have the right to display the artwork in your home or business (hooray!) but the artwork may not be resold or reproduced without my written permission.
How long will it take for my order to be completed and shipped?
- Anywhere from 1 to 6 weeks. It depends on the size, level of detail, and how many other orders I have when your order is placed.
- I will communicate with you an estimated finishing date when asking for your reference photos.
- Once your product is complete, you will receive an email with a photograph of the final piece.
- Your product will be shipped out first class & insured. As most products are made to order, expedited shipping is not available.
What is your Return Policy?
- Every order, commission, and sale is handled with care and as much clarity and transparency as possible. My goal is for you to be completely thrilled with your purchase! Because of this, all sales are final except in certain situations. Please email: thestudiodumont@gmail.com
- I do not accept returns or exchanges. Please contact me if you have any problems with your order.
- Request a cancellation within 12 hours of purchase.
What if my painting shows up damaged?
- I am very sorry if this happened. Fortunately, I take photographs and video of every painting that I create before I carefully package and ship. If the painting is damaged, please email me within 12 hours of receiving the painting. I will repair or replace the painting at no cost to you. Customer is responsible for return shipping.
